It is 1926. Harry Houdini (Guy Pearce) is the most famous escape artist in the world. The "man behind the performer" is a different story, however. It has been 13 years since his beloved mother passed away and his greatest regret is he was not at her bedside. During Harry Houdini's tour of Britain in 1926, the master escapologist enters into a passionate affair with a Scottish psychic.
