Jacques Tati as one of his great comic characters — François,
the postman — a forerunner of M. Hulot. The carnival visits town
and the village postman watches a film about the American postal
service. Egged on by visitors and villagers, he decides to speed up his
round.
Outstanding slapstick comedy with excellent scenic detail. Tati is
wonderful.
Brilliantly–restored 35mm
colour
print that is faithful to the original.
French dialogue with English subtitles.
