One of the year's most eagerly–awaited adaptations, Twilight is everything fans of the book series have been waiting for.

A modern romance is made all the more harrowing (well, harrowing in that swooning, teenage–girl way) that Bella, a mortal, is pursued by the mysterious Edward who as luck would have it is a vampire. To Edward, Bella is what he has waited decades as an immortal for — a soul mate. But the closer they get, the more Edward must struggle to resist the primal pull of her scent, which could send him into an uncontrollable feeding frenzy — of her blood. And as Edward's fellow un–dead arrive in town, he risks losing Bella forever.

Fast paced and full of brooding from main vampire star, Pattinson (who played Cedric Diggory in the Harry Potter series), Twilight is plenty to satisfy fans and gather a few converts along the way. (AB)
