Gothic horror/black comedy. Actresses and sisters, Jane (Davis) and Blanche Hudson (Crawford) are living together in a rotting mansion in Los Angeles. Davis had been a child singing star but her career faded as she grew older. Crawford grew up in her sister's shadow but became a huge movie star as an adult. In real life the two actresses were formidable enemies and put together on screen they just went off! Scary and macabre characters. A cult classic. (AJP)
